Hafiz Masroor Ahmed : ウィキペディア英語版 | Hafiz Masroor Ahmed Major General Hafiz Masroor Ahmed (born 1962) is the Force Commander for the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI). Prior to this appointment of 19 May 2014 by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Major General Ahmed served as General Officer Commanding of an infantry division in Pakistan and Chief of Staff of a corps headquarters with the Pakistan Army.
Major General Ahmed brings to this position 30 years of national and international military experience. He previously commanded an infantry brigade and served as the Director of Military Intelligence in the General Headquarters. From 2004 to 2005, Major General Ahmed served as a United Nations Military Observer in Sierra Leone. He also served as Staff Officer of the Pakistan Task Force in Saudi Arabia from 1990 to 1991. Major General Ahmed holds master’s degrees in defence and strategic studies and war studies from the National Defence University of Islamabad and the Balochistan University, respectively, Pakistan. He is also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College of Fort Leavenworth in the United States. ==References==
